This huge private Island is located in the sheltered Batchawana Bay in Lake Superior, about 35 miles north of the City Sault Ste. Marie with its airport.
The Island consists of two island bodies connected to each other by a peninsula. The Island is about one mile from the mainland. It boasts approx. 20 miles of waterfront, over 6 of which are pristine sandy beaches. On Batchawana Island there can be found moose, bear and wolves. The Bay is excellent for fishing. The Island is heavily wooded with both deciduous and coniferous trees, representing a considerable timber potential.
Batchawana Island is located in the centre of Canada, very close to the USA border.
