The islands are located in Ontario, approx. 435 miles (700 km) northwest of Toronto and 11 miles (17 km) from the town of Chapleau, right in the centre of the largest wildlife reserve in the world. The following islands and plots of land belong to the entire package and apart from the lot in Chapleau, all are accessible by water or by air only:
1) A large island (12.3 acres) with main house (103 sq m living area and 52 sq m terrace), two guesthouses, a boathouse and an equipment house. All buildings have been constructed using wooden materials.
2) A small island (7.4 acres) with log home.
3) A plot of land (opposite the larger island) 35 acres in size.
4) A plot of leasehold land in Chapleau (154 sq m) with boathouse located at the banks of the river Chapleau.
Apart from its own water supply as well as its own electricity supply (solar and wind powered), there is also a new modern 3000 watt generator available. All boats, canoes and motors as well as the complete interiors and exterior equipment are included in the sale.
For many years, the current owner ran the tourist operation "Chapleau Wilderness Camp" on the property. All properties have mineral and wood rights. Hunting and entrapment of animals is strictly forbidden on the property.
