The Fota Island Hotel & Spa welcomes its guests with 123 stylish ensuite rooms and 8 private penthouse suites with warmly inviting interiors. The spaciously luxurious bedrooms offer superb views of the woodlands or golf courses. The lavish suites each feature a separate living room and master bedroom, and have private terrace balconies, magnificent bathrooms and state of the art entertainment systems. Or make yourself perfectly at home in one of the traditionally styled lodges with high-pitched roofs and natural slate and windows of Nordic pine. Choose from The Courtyard and The Courseside settings which are designed to encourage a relaxed and leisurely lifestyle. The lodges are available with 2, 3 and 4 bedrooms.

Rates:
Depending on season approx. EUR 150 per night per double room incl. breakfast, EUR 1,200 per week for a 3 bedroom Courtyard Lodge, EUR 2,000 per week for a 4 bedroom Courseside Lodge. Weekend packages available.

Dining:
The Resort has a tempting selection of restaurants with excellent food to choose from. The Fota Restaurant is an all-day dining venue with an outdoor terrace for balmy summer days, serving a freshly prepared buffet breakfast and hearty evening meals, perfect for those returning from a challenging round of golf or a day exploring the local area. From specialty coffees and light meals to afternoon tea or cocktails, the Amber Lounge provides a wonderfully mellow setting and an impressive selection of over 75 fine whiskeys, including some from the nearby Midleton Distillery.

The Island Spa:
The sensuous and indulgent Fota Island Spa is a world-class destination spa, spread over 1,600 square meters. With 18 treatment rooms offering over 60 sublime treatments, couple's suites, a hydrotherapy suite plus the Acacia thermal suite with tepidarium and hamam, there are also three luxurious beauty rooms, affusion showers, floatation baths, a thalaxion room and conservatory. The concept behind Fota Island Spa, Cork is one of wellbeing, offering a unique combination that caters for both the restoration of personal energy and vitality or holistic relaxation and pampering.

Activities:
The Fota Island Golf Club is located in the heart of the 780 acre estate which is included in "The Inventory of Outstanding Landscapes in Ireland". The splendid woodlands are woven into three challenging championship courses which are very much in the traditional mode, featuring strategically placed bunkers and undulating putting surfaces. At Fota Island Resort are further activities and attractions such as tennis, the Fota Wildlife Park, the Kids Camps and many more.

Best Time to Travel:
June, July and August are the best months to visit. Ireland has a mild, temperate climate. Summer temperatures generally range from 60 to 70 ºF (15 to 20 ºC); spring and autumn are generally 50 ºF (10 ºC), and winter is between 40 and 46 ºF (5 to 8 ºC) : snow is rare, but showers can occur at any time of the year.
