Picturesque Private Island with Mansion and Olive Grove

Santa Maria Island is an entirely private island situated between Trapani and Marsala in Sicily. From Birgi, Marsala, the crossing by a small private motorboat takes 15 to 20 minutes.

This island has facilities of access as there is a domestic airport Vicenzo Florio there are flights from Roma going to Vicenzo airport and with  sea crossing it take only over all 30 minutes to reach the island to find a total peace.

The island boasts a mansion (belle époque, 460 m²) and a small chapel of the 16th century. In addition, there is a lodging for the island keepers and a shelter for animals, e.g. donkeys.

Santa Maria Island is home to palm trees, maritime pines, various plants and flowers and an olive grove – in 2016, 1500 liters of olive oil were produced.

There is no pollution, and everything that is grown is 100% organic. It is a place of total tranquility – you can hear the sea breeze, birds and nature. The island is protected from any nuisance since it benefits from an archaeological zone.

Electricity is produced by a generator and rainwater is recovered for domestic use.

It is possible to walk from one end of the island to the other and to take a bath in the sea at any place of the island. As the depth of the water surrounding Santa Maria Island is about 1.50 m, only small boats can approach the island.
