Location
Desroches Island is part of the Amirante Islands, a remote coral atoll. The flight from Mahé takes only 35 minutes and operates daily. This amazing coral island claims one of the finest coconut groves of the archipelago.

The 20 junior suites of 52 sqm in villas blend harmoniously into their tropical surroundings.
All villas have private terraces (30 sqm) with a sea view, king-size beds with mosquito net, air-conditioner and ceiling fan, mini-bar, bathroom with outdoor shower and bathtub, personal safe, telephone, hair dryer, satellite TV and tea- and coffee-making facilities.

Restaurant Le Veloutier
In front of the swimming pool, the Creole style restaurant has a stunning view on the pool and the sea, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Depending on the evening, guests will enjoy a variety of tables d'hôte, cooking shows or seafood festival. The cuisine varies between Creole, French and cosmopolitan types.
Beach Restaurant
In the kiosks with thatch roof, the guest can enjoy a “feet in the sand” meal for breakfast buffet, lunch buffet or for intimate candlelit diner or a lobster evening.
Bar l’Amirante
Overlooking the swimming pool and the sea, surrounded by coconut trees, the bar provides the perfect end to the day as you sip cocktails while watching the stunning sunset (Open from 10.00 am).

Free of charge: windsurfing, pedal boats, kayaks, canoes, snorkelling, floodlit tennis court, table tennis, French bowls and bicycles.
For a fee: scuba diving (the unique water world around Desroches encompasses 14 classified diving sites), big game fishing and boat excursions to the neighbouring Amirante Isles (Poivre Island and Arros Island).
Guests can explore the surroundings by bicycle or on foot. The coconut grove, the island village, the northern lighthouse all are waiting to be discovered, as are the many secret tracks that lead to secluded beaches.

Best time to travel
Even though there are only small climatic differences during the year, two different seasons are generally referred to: from November to March it is warm with a lot of rain and high humidity. Typical rainy days on the Seychelles are interrupted by long sunny sections. The wind blows from northwest (northwest monsoon). From May to September the temperature is slightly cooler since the wind blows from the southeast (southeast monsoon). The driest period is between June and August. In April and October the temperature is relatively hot, there is little wind and the sea is mostly calm.
