Calivigny Island is a place of unsurpassed splendor, an epitome of world-class luxury living for the rich and famous. This privately owned island south of Grenada is 81 acres in size. The current owner acquired it in 2000 and invested EUR 100 million to develop it into a luxurious retreat for himself and his family. Calivigny is ideal for all types of events and trips – from family holidays to weddings, from high-level corporate meetings to incentive trips. Guests enjoy the utmost in privacy, as Calivigny is for rent exclusively to one party at a time only.

The rates include accommodation, all food and drink (excluding alcohol), laundry services (dry cleaning at extra charge), business facilities (international phone call and fax charges apply), return airport transfers, 24-hour staff, and use of small motorized vehicles (fuel charges apply).
Location:
South of Grenada. A 5-minute boat ride from the mainland. 15-minute transfer to the island from the airport.
Accommodation:
The Beach House is a luxurious 10,000 sqm beachfront villa of world-class standard with 10 fully air-conditioned suites. The layout of the house provides complete privacy for the guests. All rooms include en-suite bathrooms, some with Jacuzzi baths. The suites comprise private sitting and dining areas, offices and bathrooms.
The Beach House is appointed with first-class amenities and facilities, no expenses were spared on construction and furnishing, as the owner wanted to create a slice of paradise for himself and his family. Tastefully decorated in old colonial style, a reflection of the owner’s personal style, it is full of small pieces of art, from designer furniture by Oscar de la Renta and Richard Frinier to a 25-ton wooden dome suspended without any columns – a real architectural masterpiece.
All woodwork was handcrafted on the island from greenheart wood brought in from Guyana.
Most items were custom designed for the house and the owner. The Beach House is equipped with modern comforts such as high-speed Internet access, satellite TV, flat screen TVs and iPod docks.
There are features such as a poolside cabana, beachside gazebos, a large free-form fresh water swimming pool with swim up bar, a fully-equipped gym, business meeting facilities, a wedding marquee, and a boat deck for anchoring guests’ yachts.
The highly trained live-in staff (separate housing) is available 24 hours a day. A private chef is on hand, plus a fully equipped gourmet kitchen, suited for cooking for larger events. There are laundry facilities, 24-hour security, a picnic boat and a 54 m sailing yacht are available for charter.
Dining:
Haute cuisine based on locally sourced fresh produce (from the fish market, fresh fruit and vegetable market) is prepared by a private chef. Supermarket food can also be provided.
Special requests can be arranged – available to be flown in from the United States twice per week (extra charges may apply).
Various spots are available for formal and informal dining, inside and outside, including BBQs.
A well-stocked wine cellar is available (all alcoholic beverages are charged extra).
Activities:
A variety of water sports and other activities is available: swimming, windsurfing, diving, fishing, sailing, hiking, waterskiing, power boat trips, fitness room, billiards, darts, concert
grand piano with disklavier mark IV with a variety of music available, board games for the
family and toys for children as well as a large 2.5 x 5 m outdoor movie screen.
Close proximity to the mainland offers endless opportunities to explore the country’s treasures,
from scuba diving in artist Jason Taylor's Underwater Sculpture Park to visiting Grenada’s many remarkable waterfalls and plantations. A masseuse, yoga or fitness instructor can be arranged for our guests.
Best Time to Travel:
All year round. Grenada is lucky not to be affected by the hurricane season of the Caribbean. Records show that there is a hurricane every 50 years in Grenada, and the last one was Ivan in 2005.
Getting There:
The nearest airport is Port Salines International Airport in Grenada which offers direct flights from London, New York and Miami year round. In high season additional flights are added from Europe and North America. Guests may also travel to any other Caribbean island and then either charter a private plane or use LIAT Airlines. Return Airport transfers are included, with a total travel time of 15 minutes to the island.
