The answer is simple. Cartography was always a major aspect in the search of
islands worldwide and in the creation of their offering memorandums.
Therefore, the link has always existed between islands and maps. Our
appreciation of these maps is evident - in particular very detailed maps,
even down to 1:1000. Over the years, we built up an enormous archive. As one
of the major map stores in Hamburg became available for purchase, we decided
to acquire it and lead it onto the next century by including digital maps
among others. |
