Château la Chassagne was built as a hunting lodge in 1830 at the same period that the Canal de Bourgogne was created. The house was fully renovated and equipped with the newest technology in 1991 so today it is presented in the 4 stars standard. Currently it is used as a company headquarters and as a hotel for meetings. The château contains a bistro, two restaurants and a hunting lodge and offers luxury rooms and suites for 24 guests. Additionally, the château owns particular rooms for meetings and management issues so there is a living area of 1,350 m2 and a usable floor space of 900 m2 available.
It is surrounded by 400,000 m2 of grounds, a vineyard, a golf driving range (Par 3), a tennis court, two heated swimming pools, a pool house including a fitness centre, sauna, etc., an area for your leisure time with a garden and a covered barbecue place, about 12,000 m2 reserve with game, pheasants and hares registered right to hunt, a château chapel and four outbuildings (caretaker's house, garages).
The estate has its own motorway exit (A38 Dijon-Paris) and a leased runway lies next to the property. The airfield is a superb 800 metres (874 yards) long and 50 metres (54 yards) wide green run-
way. The diurnal signalling is perfectly visible; the very large lateral clearings and the perfectly cleared
thresholds of the runway allow a safe approach.
This private 4-star luxury hotel, set in the idyllic splendour of 100 acres of woodland and parks, is located in the glorious Burgundy countryside close to Dijon. With its gourmet restaurant "Chaîne des Rôtisseurs" the château-hotel proposes all the culinary specialties of Burgundy and France.
This is a marvellous opportunity to get to know the region and its inhabitants better. The chateau offers guests a wide choice of activities: perfect your swing on the golf par 3 driving range, play a game of tennis, relax at the swimming pool, in the sauna or solarium or work out in the fitness centre. You can also make fabulous excursions in a horse-drawn carriage, a Rolls-Royce or in a private plane, sample wines in the local wine cellars or take the famous TGV to Paris for a day, a high-speed train making up to 210 miles an hour.
Included in the purchase price are:
The complete furniture and equipment originally valued at EUR 2.5 Million to
include the high class interior furnishings and the total exterior inventory.
In addition, there are also a Rolls Royce automobile and a helicopter included in the price.
A building permit for a spa center and 15 guest bungalows is available.
