Turn-key private island with unique attributes including various buildings and accommodations, a 1,500 ft. airstrip and state-of-the-art communications and electronics system. The island affords a two-storey main residence comprising 3,000 sq. ft. with 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, wrap-around covered deck, spacious living room, eat-in kitchen, front Lanai area, dining room and a large covered patio. An office and communication building adjoins the laundry building and consists of 1,750 sq. ft., a walk-in cooler and freezer, an office, library, exercise room, pantry and underground storage.
The two-storey guest quarters total 3,500 sq. ft. and are surrounded by a covered balcony. The first floor accommodates 7 and has a full bathroom, dining/living room and full kitchen. There is a separate maid's bedroom with full bathroom. A separate apartment contains a full bathroom and kitchenette. The second floor consists of 2 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, kitchen, dining area, laundry room, and large living room/sitting area.
Leaf Cay is the only private island in the Bahamas with public power supplied by the Bahamas Electricity Corporation (BEC). An emergency power system is provided by six generators. A solar power system is also available. Water is supplied by four cisterns with a capacity of 145,000 gallons, a desalination watermaker system and two fresh water wells.
The island includes a 240 sq. ft. laundry building/watermaker room, 2,775 sq. ft. generator power building with six generators, garage area, two storage rooms and battery room, a variety of buildings totaling 26,513 sq. ft. and building materials and permits for three guest buildings and a boat storage building.
