American Island

American Island is 8 acres in size and has 3,160 ft. (approx. 960 m) of lake frontage. The island is one of three that make up the American Islands chain on Stuart Lake, 45 km from Fort St James, which is at the far east end of the lake.

This fully treed island is quite flat (approx. 15 feet above the water level in the centre) and has two bays, a little bay on the east side and another on the west side. Both bays offer protection for boat landing. Of course access by float plane is also an opportunity. 

Since most of the BC Lands adjacent to lakes are owned by the government, this waterfront property has a unique investment potential for development and/or recreational purposes. 

It's a destination for outdoors lovers and fishers looking for trophy-sized catches. Stuart Lake is home to rainbow trout, lake trout, burbot (essentially a freshwater lingcod), kokanee, mountain whitefish, and sturgeon.
