MacDonald Island East

Nova Scotia | Canada East/Central

This wonderful “x”-shaped island boasts an incredible location, four small bays and several incredible beaches. The romantic western bay is the perfect spot to watch the sunset, whereas the north offers great opportunities to search for fresh mussels during low tides. To the north-east of the island, a 6 metre high cliff can be found, offering unparalleled views of Crown Land, far away on the horizon. The cliff offers great scope for development, and would form the perfect place for some private island accommodation. A small stream of water weaves its way across the island, snaking its way past a number of hard wood trees, including tall and might spruce trees. The first settlers are said to have arrived on this island many centuries ago, carving stone foundations that can still be seen today.
