Power Island

Nova Scotia | Canada East/Central

Power Island is located in a sheltered bay about 30 km from Halifax and offers magnificent views of the open sea.

About a quarter of the island is covered with forest. The rest consists of grass-covered rocky ground, which is ideal for cultivation, as well as a white sandy beach.

Opposite the island, about 10 minutes by boat, there is a small fishing harbour where the owner of the island can moor a boat.

Halifax International Airport is about 65 km away. The city of Halifax can be reached in about 30 minutes by car. The capital of Nova Scotia province has one of the world's largest ports. The city offers a wide range of musical and cultural events, galleries and museums. During the summer months, the coast fascinates locals and visitors alike with its picturesque landscape, boats in the harbour, historic buildings with small shops and restaurants and the Museum of Natural History.

The location at the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf Stream determine the climate of Nova Scotia - therefore the summers are warm, sometimes even above 30 °C, and are always accompanied by a fresh sea breeze.
