One of the most beautiful French islands with a chapel

French islands are beautiful but the most beautiful island currently available is Île de Boëdic in Britanny. The private island is situated in Brittany's Gulf of Morbihan, which is a top sailing destination. Île de Boëdic is also known for its unusual rock "The Monk" (it was sculptured in the XIXè century).

Its 17 acres present a wonderful heaven for sailors within the protected Gulf of Morbihan, this magnificent private island with its own chapel is home to an array of equally stunning properties all have been renovated in 2011 to an impeccable standard with modern amenities, which simply must be seen to be believed.

Consisting of a traditional Breton long house, a superb main house, a guesthouse, a gatehouse and a quaint and romantic chapel, this distinguished island is easily accessible from mainland France and tantalizingly close to the historic city of Vannes. The Nantes-based architect François Bureau recently finished a renovation of the property and outfitted the buildings' interiors with modern amenities. The total living space in all houses is 9547.5 sqft. In the long house you find amongst others a fully-equipped kitchen with dining room, a living room with fireplace, and a home-office with lounge area. The most distinctive feature on this French island is of course the stunning stone chapel that has been transformed into a music hall.
