This holiday home is idyllically situated in the heart of a top sailing environment. On picturesque Mahone Bay on the south coast of Nova Scotia, with the Atlantic at its doorstep, it has a fantastic view of the bay and its 365 little islands. Tourists visiting Nova Scotia are attracted by this most beautiful area of the maritime province. Mahone Bay is a very picturesque coastal town with three churches and many small craft shops. Guests in this holiday home enjoy privacy on their own beach and a gorgeous view over the bay and its islands.

Location
Only 45 minutes from Halifax, the capital of the province.

Accommodation
Vincent Estate (approx. 220 sqm) is only a few meters from the Atlantic Ocean. The cottage has its own large jetty. From the spacious terrace with its gazebo you enjoy a breathtaking view over the Atlantic, the bay and its islands. Or relax in the Jacuzzi enjoying this fantastic view; the luxurious whirlpool accommodates up to 8 people.
The cottage features a spacious living room with fireplace, a dining room with magnificent ocean view, 3 bedrooms on the ground floor and an additional one in the basement. The modern kitchen is fully equipped for self-caterers.

Dining
The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering. The nearest shopping facilities are only a 5-minute drive away, and larger supermarkets are located in various towns around Mahone Bay. Try the exquisite cuisine in the elegant restaurant on Oak Island Resort, about 2 km from Crandall Point. The legendary Innlet Café in Mahone Bay is also renowned for its delicious dishes.

Activities
Crandall Point is an ideal starting point for day trips and sight-seeing tours. The magical little town of Chester is famous for its yacht club and beautiful golf courses as well as excellent restaurants, galleries and gift shops. Visit the picture-postcard lighthouse at Peggys Cove. Go on a whale-watching tour at the quaint historical town of Lunenburg.
It is said that 200 years ago large amounts of gold were buried on the neighbouring Oak Island. Many books have been written on the supposed buried treasure. Take a kayak out to one of the many islands and enjoy being Robinson Crusoe for a day. Try your hand at fishing and if you are successful, you can enjoy a delicious barbecued fish supper.
At the nearby Oak Island Resort and Spa, you can hire various sailing and motorboats. Fishing trips and other excursions can also be booked here.

Best time to travel
Crandall Point is pleasant and accessible all year round. Spring, summer and autumn are all ideal for touring, though if you wish to ski, you will naturally have to come in winter or early spring. Swimming and sunbathing is excellent in the summer months of July and August. Enjoy Indian summer from late September to mid October when you can experience an explosion of autumn colours, an abundance of wildlife, and an orchestra of sounds.
