Location
Spanish Water Cay is located in the most colorful corner of the Caribbean: Curacao. The island itself is tucked away in Spanish Water Bay, just minutes from the mainland and not far at all from the country’s bustling capital, Willemstaad.

Accommodation
Spanish Water Cay is home to a luxurious Caribbean-style villa. Offering space for up to eight guests across four spacious, en-suite double bedrooms, the villa forms a wonderful refuge for families, friends and couples.

Beyond the well-appointed bedrooms, the villa is home to a fully-equipped kitchen and outdoor BBQ; a large indoor living area with grand piano, large dinner table and lounge area; and a private infinity pool with outdoor garden shower.

Spanish Water Cay boasts WiFi internet throughout the island, as well as air-conditioned across all of the island’s facilities. Furthermore, each of the villa’s bedrooms boasts a full entertainment system with flat screen TVs, DVD / MP3 players and Dolby surround sound systems.

Dining
The island is available to rent with and without a full complement of staff. As well as a professional butler and maid service, it’s also possible to hire the services of a private chef throughout the duration of your stay.

Alternatively, if you’d prefer to cook up a storm of your own or explore Curacao’s burgeoning restaurant scene, just let the caretakers know what you require and they’ll take care of the grocery shopping and provide you with restaurant recommendations upon your arrival.

Activities
Take your pick between unwinding on the island’s private beach, indulging in a selection of tailor-made spa and beauty treatments or exploring Curacao’s unique seascape. A series of boats are available on request (power boats, speed boats, water scooters, canoes and subs etc.), allowing you to explore your surroundings at leisure.

Snorkel / dive trips and courses can be arranged, as can private canoe safaris and deep-sea fishing excursions. It’s also possible to schedule an appointment at Curacao’s 18-hole golf course.

Best Time to Travel
Perfectly positioned outside of the Caribbean hurricane belt and boasting temperatures of around 28°C all year round, there’s never a bad time to visit Curacao. February is a popular month for party-goers as it signals the start of the festival season, whereas divers may prefer to plan their stay between September and December, when the seas are at their calmest.

How to Get There
Curacao International Airport is regularly serviced by flights from Europe and the US. From there, the easiest way to access the island is by boat. Guests may make use of the island’s motorboat in order to transfer to and from the island. A personal boat license is required. If preferred, a helicopter transfer can also be arranged.
