Rates
From USD 1,195 per day/bungalow or villa.
From USD 11,000 to 13,000 renting the entire island (18 guests maximum). USD 18,000 over the holidays (December 19 through January 7).
All rates plus 9% Belize Government Tax and 15% resort fee.
Rates include personal houseman, three meals a day, snacks, all drinks (except champagne, wine and cordials), and non-motorized water sports.

Once you arrive at Cayo Espanto, the award-winning chefs leave no decisions for you to make. A new menu is created daily to perfectly suit your tastes, based on a survey you are asked to fill out, before you even arrive on the island.
Cayo Espanto's master culinary artists prepare succulent dishes with fresh tropical ingredients. Whether it is breakfast in bed or a candlelight dinner on your personal verandah, the epicurean cuisine at Cayo Espanto is nothing short of tantalizing, set on pleasing your palate.

Fly-fishing is a favorite among guests of Cayo Espanto, because bonefish abound around the island. In addition to wading across the hard sea-bottom immediately around the island, guests may hire a guide and boat for some wonderful fishing on the flats for bonefish, tarpon and permit.
Scuba diving at the second largest barrier reef in the world is not to be missed. Cayo Espanto is within 15-20 minutes of some of the world's best and most famous diving sites. Private trips are easily arranged. Guests who wish to dive in the Blue Hole should be aware that it is an all-day trip. To guarantee diving with our Dive Masters, advance arrangements are requested.
Snorkelling in Hol Chan, Belize's National Marine Park, named one of the world's top ten snorkelling sites by USA Today, is an outstanding experience. Glass bottom boats provide another window to the underwater world.
Go for a day trip with boat and guide for some fishing, snorkelling and conching (in season). After a morning of fishing and conching, your guide will grill your catch for you on a beach. After lunch, it's back to the water for some great snorkelling, all-out fun and relaxation. You can also choose to visit other islands (some deserted and some with villages). Return just in time to watch the sunset and have cocktails before dinner.
Daily excursions to the mainland of Belize offer fantastic adventure opportunities. The Mayan ruins of Lamanai are a must. River journeys and visits to inland spas are included along the way.
Further activities in the area include birdwatching, exploring the Caribbean in a 21-ft skiff, and picnics on deserted beaches.

Best time to travel
The best time to travel is the dry season from November to May. Summer (July to November) is hurricane season. Graced with an average temperature ranging from 23 °C (73 °F) in the winter to 29 °C (84 °F) in the summer, Cayo Espanto has the perfect weather for a dream vacation.

Getting there
Guests fly into Belize International Airport on US Airways, American, Air Jamaica, Continental or TACA Airlines. Flights are available from Charlotte (3 hours and 37 minutes), Miami (1 hour and 40 minutes), Houston (2 hours), Montego Bay (1 hour and 50 minutes) and Dallas (2 hours and 30 minutes). The airport liaison will meet you outside Customs and escort you to the flight to San Pedro. There you will be met and taken via taxi directly to one of the shuttle boats a few hundred yards away for the 7-minute ride to Cayo Espanto.
