The island's population is limited to guests and staff, because the resort and the private luxury estates are the only habitation on this island. Virtually the whole of this 300-acre island is covered in virgin rainforest estimated to be more than two million years old, with magnificent sweeping bays of fine sand along its perimeters. The island is large enough to sustain an abundance of wildlife, yet small enough to have escaped man's exploitation. Nature lovers will encounter a variety of species of colourful birds and plants, including native orchids, yellow pied hornbills, white-breasted sea eagles, crab-eating macaque monkeys and tropical iguanas.

Hill Villas are double-storey units and sit atop the hillside amidst the rain forest, overlooking the tropical gardens, the sea and the larger island of Pangkor. Sea Villas, set on stilts over the sea and linked by wooden walkways, are equipped with an en suite bathroom with large bath and surrounded by windows that provide views of the sea and island. Sea Suites, composed of the Purnama and Suria Suites, are furnished with an entrance hall, a separate bedroom, lounge, a spacious bathroom with a large bath, a separate shower cubicle and TV. Spa
The Spa Village at Pangkor Laut Resort is a unique retreat that extols the healing cultures of the region. Malaysia, with its diverse history of people and cultures, and a vast abundance of natural resources, provides the backdrop for health rituals that are amongst the oldest in the world. All of our treatments are conducted in private spa pavilions. 22 beautiful Spa Villas situated over the sea offer direct access to the Spa Village.
Programmes combine physical and spiritual health and well-being, and are based on one of four umbrella concepts: Rejuvenation and Longevity, Relaxation and Stress Reduction, Detoxification, and Romance. Your treatment at the Spa Village will begin with our unique Bath House Ritual, representing various bathing traditions from around Asia.
