Best time to travel
The best time to visit Fanjove Island in Tanzania’s Songo Songo Archipelago is during the dry season from June to October, when you’ll enjoy sunny weather, calm seas, and ideal conditions for beach and marine activities, while January to February and November to March can also be good depending on your interests—offering warmer temperatures, excellent diving visibility, and rich birdlife—whereas the long rainy season from mid-March to May is best avoided due to heavy rains and frequent lodge closures.
