Location
Situated in Indonesia’s Riau Archipelago, just to the south of Singapore, Pulau Joyo is perhaps best described as remote but accessible, only 3 hours away from the Indonesian capital.

Accommodation
Designed to make the most of the stunning surroundings, Pulau Joyo is home to four incredible Driftwood Palaces. Constructed using only driftwood salvaged from the Riau Archipelago, these airy residences are home to a kind-sized bed, an en-suite shower and bathroom as well as a vast Balinese style day bed, which is just perfect for hosting children or even additional guests. Beyond the bedrooms, a spacious living area with sea-view terrace awaits, furnished with both sun-loungers and sofas and allowing you to while away the hours in style. Further to the Driftwood Palaces, Pulau Joyo is also home to two stunning tree-houses. Located towards the south of the island, these unique residences combine a uniquely Javanese style with that ubiquitous Castaway chic, ensuring all guests feel at home during their stay on the island.

Dining
Prepare to be amazed by a unique fusion of Western and Indonesian style dishes. Including everything from freshly caught sea food, tender chicken dishes, sumptuous curries and that ubiquitous Indonesian peanut sauce, the food on Pulau Joyo certainly doesn’t disappoint.

Locally sourced fruit and vegetables complete the picture, turning every mealtime into a colourful celebration of eastern cuisine. Particular favourites include the grilled aubergine, satay sticks and the incredibly indulgent almond cake. But don’t just take our word for it – try it for yourself.

Activities
With plenty of activities designed to make the most of Pulau Joyo’s unique and tranquil atmosphere, guests can choose between romantic strolls around the island, traditional Javanese massages, a relaxing day’s fishing and even snorkelling around some of the region’s most vibrant marine life. With a colourful coral reef located just to the south of the island, this pristine private island offers you a unique opportunity to get up, close and personal with some weird and wonderful creatures.

Best Time To Travel
Located tantalizingly close to the equator, Pulau Joyo is lucky enough to boast a temperature which hovers around the mid- to high-twenties all year round. Home to a typically tropical climate, the weather on this paradisiacal island tends to be characterized by short bursts of rainfall – but don’t let that put you off. The wettest months are said to be between November and January, whereas February is without a doubt the sunniest.

How To Get There
Served by 80 leading carriers, international guests are advised to fly in to Singapore’s Changi Airport. From here, you will be met by a member of the more than cabable Pulau Joyo team and escorted to the Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal. After a brief journey calling in the Tanjungpinang Ferry Terminal, guests will be transferred via speed jet to their final destination.
