Situated on Zanzibar’s unspoiled south-eastern coast, overlooking the incredible Chwaka Bay, Palms Resort is surrounded by the warm waves of the Indian Ocean to the east and tall coconut palms to the west, combining to create a simply unforgettable retreat designed with the discerning traveler in mind.

Accommodation
The Palm´s seven exquisite villas simply exude luxury. Decorated in a harmony of dark wooden floors and sophisticated interior composition in all colors of coffee, cream and caramel, each of the rooms here showcases a chic fusion of colonial grandeur and tribal tradition. Adorned with furniture handmade according to local Zanzibari traditions, you’re guaranteed an authentic experience during your time at The Palms. Each of the villas is spread out over 140 m² and boasts an effortlessly elegant bedroom with en-suite, a dressing room, large living space and more. All offering terrific views of the lush garden, the white sand and the crystal waters, guests can choose to unwind and enjoy the view from either their terrace with private plunge pool or from the private beach cabana facing the ocean. Guests of The Palms have access to the bordering sister hotels of Breezes Beach Club & Spa and Baraza Resort & Spa BUT nobody can enter the premises of The Palms unless you stay there.

Dining
The colorful tapestry of Zanzibar’s multicultural past can be felt across every inch of this luxurious holiday hideaway. Enjoyed upon either the elegant colonnaded terrace of The Plantation House or around the pool or in your private verandah, you might just find that the fabulous fusion served up becomes one of the highlights of your holiday.

Activities
For spa or sports guests use the services of Baraza or/and Breezes. Relax under sumptuous sunshine and treat yourself to the ultimate in indulgence with a massage at the nearby Frangipani Spa of its sister hotel Baraza. Unwind on silky sand beaches and take in the view with a delicious cocktail in your hand. Alternatively, those looking for a more action packed vacation will be keen to try their hand at the wide variety of watersports activities on offer. The Rising Sun Dive Center comes particularly highly recommended. As one of the first centers to explore the pristine waters of Zanzibar’s east coast, guests can rest in the knowledge that they are in the hands of the experts.

Best time to travel
Guests travelling to Zanzibar are all but guaranteed long days of golden sunshine - whatever the weather back home. A tropical paradise offering up to 300 days of sunshine, temperatures regularly climb to 30° C in the hot season (November to March), before dropping to a more manageable 25° C between June and October.

Getting there
Most major carriers offer regular services directly to Abeid Amani Karume, Zanzibar´s international airport. Otherwise there are easy connections to Tanzania´s Dar es Salaam international airport. Alternatively the likes of Mombasa, Nairobi, Kilimanjaro and various other East African airports offer both charter services and regular flights direct to Zanzibar. From here The Palms is easily reached in approximately an hours’ drive on tarmac road.
