Immerse yourself in splendid isolation in the most unspoiled reaches of the Fijian archipelago. Tucked amongst the palms on this remote island are just 16 thatched bures (houses) offering complete solitude and absolute luxury. There are no other resorts, no television and only the whisper of the waves and sea breeze to break the silence.

Rates
From USD 900 to 1,900 per bure/night – plus taxes, incl. full board, all watersports, activities, trips and tours (excluding diving, game fishing and spa) plus scheduled round trip private air transfers Nadi-Yasawa-Nadi for 2 persons.

They are open for full island charters starting from USD$22,000 per night for 1-32 persons. This price includes all the normal resort inclusions.

Location
Yasawa Island (22 km long and less than 1 km wide) is the main island in the Yasawa group of islands in Fiji.

Accommodation
At Yasawa Island Resort your sanctuary is superbly fitted out in contemporary Fijian style – local timbers, traditional art, thatched roofs, overhead fans and plantation shutters. Each is air-conditioned, with a discreet open-air shower, its own thatched beach hut and a hammock strung between the palms. Choose a deluxe bure (house) for that little bit extra, including a pair of shaded, outdoor, day beds.

Dining
Yasawa is an island of isolation – and abundance. Each day the resort's chef prepares food with an emphasis on the succulent seafood caught nearby. Lobster plucked from the surrounding reefs is a speciality.

Activities
Slip below the surface of Yasawa's pristine waters and you'll find a world as seductive as the island above. These seas are yours to explore with the resort's PADI-accredited diving centre. Do as much or as little as you like at Yasawa. Have a picnic on one of 11 desert beaches, sail a catamaran or sailboat, visit the local villages, hit the tennis court, or enjoy a massage. Try game fishing in the resort's purpose-built boat, or take a launch to the caves and coves made famous in the movie The Blue Lagoon.

Best time to travel
Its mild tropical climate means that Fiji can be enjoyed all year round and it is a popular escape from the winters in both the northern and southern hemispheres. Perhaps the best time to go is in the dry season or “Fiji winter”, from May to October. This time of year has cooler temperatures, less rainfall and humidity, and less risk of tropical cyclones.

Getting there
It takes just 30 minutes by private aircraft from Nadi's international airport to the Resort's own airstrip.
