A sustainable island idyll for private or touristic usage

Located in the waters of Lake Nicaragua – at over 8,000 km² the largest lake in Central America – Zopango Island is a sustainable paradise with potential for either private or touristic usage. Blessed with an abundance of nature, clear waters and enviable weather conditions (high temperatures and low humidity), this pristine private island is a veritable dream come true.

Comprising of three islands (the main island and two nearby islets), Zopango boasts the largest beaches in the Asese Bay region with over 200 square meters of golden sands exclusively at your disposal. These beaches, plus the calm, clear, protected waters surrounding the island, make Zopango an ideal tourist destination.

And indeed, the island group currently hosts its own tourism operation – the Casa Zopango Bed & Breakfast. The recently constructed bed and breakfast, which has been in operation since 2015, provides space for up to ten guests across two bedrooms and a generous suite. A separate caretaker’s apartment is also available.

Further to Casa Zopango, the island also supports four additional ranch buildings, three guest bathrooms, a laundry area and three cellars. Subject to planning permission, additional development is also allowed, allowing you to expand the existing tourism set-up and put your personal stamp on the island.
The archipelago enjoys an enviable location, with the amenities of Cocibolca Marina and the colonial city of Granada both situated within less than half an hour of the island itself. Managua International Airport is also close by (approx. 90 minutes’ drive), offering direct connections from all over the American continent.
