Just 45 minutes drive from Hamburg, the magnificent Lehsen Castle is situated in 15 ha of grounds, and offers a luxurious ambience in Neoclassical style. Built in 1822 and fully renovated using quality materials and craftsmanship in recent years, the stately drive-way leads up to the 36ft high fountain in front of the castle.
The castle offers 15,070 sq.ft. of generous living space with 11 rooms, bathrooms and a large kitchen. Laundry and drying rooms are located in the large cellar. New heating, power and water systems have been installed and the roof was also replaced.
All rooms have new parquet floors, massive wooden doors, gold-plated fittings, mouldings and fireplaces.
At the side of the castle, there is an old coach house, which has now been converted into a garage suitable for four cars.
The pretty garden with old oak trees - some of them reputedly 800 years old - features a large 21,500 sq. ft. pond and a smaller pond with a little island. A new lighting system around the grounds creates a wonderful atmosphere after dark.
The estate serves as an excellent residence (as it is used today) or could be used as a company or organisation headquarters.
