A spectacularly situated private island located just to the west of the Mull of Kintyre and not far from the city of Glasgow. The nearby islands of Gigha, Jura and Islay (famed for its excellent single malts) make for a wonderful surrounding seascape. Indeed, on clear days, it’s even possible to see as far as Northern Ireland.

And the best of it? Gigalum Island is situated just minutes away from Paul McCartney’s famous estate on the Mull of Kintyre.  

The island itself comprises of 19 acres of diverse terrain made up of native woods, heather cover and spectacular rock formations. Furthermore, a unique house can also be found towards the east of the island - Gigalum House – offering a large, central octagonal living space, a kitchen and three en-suite bedrooms. There may be potential for further development subject to planning consent.  

A jetty provides easy-access to the neighbouring, community-owned Isle of Gigha and its many attractions. From there, a regular ferry connection allows for convenient travel to the Scottish mainland.
