Private River Island with Well-Preserved Natural Landscape

This 100% Portuguese island in the Minho River, bordering Spain and Portugal, is located between the Portuguese parishes of Loivo and Gondarém, municipality of Vila Nova de Cerveira, district of Viana do Castelo. It is situated 45 minutes from Porto International Airport and 40 minutes from Vigo International Airport (Spain).

The Atlantic Ocean with the three beautiful beaches of Moledo, Foz do Minho and Camposancos is just 10 or 11 kilometers away by boat.
The island has a special charm due to its natural beauty and peaceful location. Surrounded by lush forests and small villages on both sides of the river, it has a well-preserved natural landscape. Its dense bordering forest creates a unique environment on its forest clearing, suitable for the agricultural activities of your choice, from wine-growing to corn cultivation among others. In the past it has been used as a corn plantation and for cattle grazing. Access to this serene retreat is limited – only by boat or helicopter.

The surroundings of the island are known for activities such as fishing, canoeing and hiking on the routes that run along the river. Around you are the Portuguese Minho and the Spanish Galicia, the most beautiful regions of the Iberian Peninsula.
