Maru Island

Japan | Pacific Ocean

This round-shaped island takes its name from the Japanese word "maru" which means "circle".
It is located in calm waters in an area called Kumano Nada. The distance from the mainland is only ca. 80 metres which would make water, electricity and telephone line installation easy.

According to the Vendor, there already exists a permit to build one house less than 200 sq.m. in size on the island, despite its location being in a National Park. Fishing and water sports can be enjoyed in this region.

The island would make a perfect vacation getaway. Directions: Fly to Osaka (Kansai) or Nagoya Airport. It takes just under three hours to drive from either airport to the island.
