This island gem is located 60 miles northeast of Bangor on the pristine and forever wild Nicatous Lake. The dwellings were built in the 1920s and ave been lovingly restored with modern amenities.

The family style compound includes a main house with a master bedroom, bathroom, living room with a fieldstone fireplace, and a large deck overlooking the beach. In addition, there are four separate guest cottages. There is also a custom designed kitchen and great room with a wrap-around deck.

There is a nice protected place to dock a float plane.
This island is self sufficient with generator cabin, running water, and comes fully furnished. There are canoes, boats, furniture, cook stoves, two propane refrigerators and just about everything else you need, including a caretaker that can have the island fully stocked with food and ready for your arrival.

There are two docks, a swim float and a private beach where you can launch the small flotilla that stays with the house, including an 18-foot speedboat, an antique canoe and a paddleboat.

The island compound was built in the 1920s; the owners say that in the early days the original owner used a barge to bring over cows for fresh milk in the summer. A 5,000-watt generator powers many of the modern amenities.
It is a very private and remote place, but only 45 minutes to an hour to shopping and hospital.
