Low Cay

Bahamas | Karibik

A Natural Paradise in the Beautiful Bahamas

This peaceful and secluded private island is 24.69 acres in size with elevations of around 11 feet at the highest point. With a variety of different shore types, Low Cay has something for everyone. On the west, the waters are shallow with a sandy bottom that is home to rays, fish, and conch. On the east, tidal pools with all their curiosities abound, and a colourful coral reef is perfect for snorkelers. To the south, waves come in from the open ocean bringing its gentle ocean swell.

Finger beach, with its stretch of sand 500 feet long that ends in a finger pointing towards San Salvador, an island on which there is much to enjoy. Its colourful history is just the beginning, and the gorgeous natural surroundings are sure to astound. The reefs just offshore are breathtaking, and are sure to lure in divers and snorkelers.

Low Cay shares a long history with San Salvador, was sighted by Christopher Columbus in 1492, was the site of shipwrecks during the time of great sailing ships, and was recently the chosen location of a scientific study of the San Salvador iguana.

Building an island retreat here on Low Cay will give you a whole new type of address (23o 56’ 20” N 74o 28’52” W) and a whole new outlook.
