The houses were built in 1953 by Mr. Nelson Hayes, author of the book from which the movie Bahama Passage was made. They are made of 15-inch concrete and Bermuda roofs and they include a 2-bedroom 2-bathroom main house plus a 3-bedroom 2-bathroom guest house.
