Killeshandra, County Cavan - located on Lough Oughter.

There are three bedrooms at Trinity Island Lodge, of which two have en suite bathrooms and the third has a jacuzzi bath.

If you would rather not cook while on holiday, a chef can be arranged for you upon request, as well as a housekeeper and baby sitter. If you do like cooking, there is a fully-fitted, modern kitchen.

A short hike through the woodlands reveals Trinity Island's rich history and charm. Visible from the sun deck of Trinity Island Lodge are the ancient ruins of Trinity Island Monastery, built 750 years ago by the Order of Premontre. Serenading Romeos can flex their muscles on the island's private boat.
For lovers with a fitness fetish, a trip to the nearby mainland via scenic waterways offers horse-riding, freshwater fishing, canoeing, nature walks and bird watching.
