Accommodation
Make your vacation in the 1000 Islands a memorable one on Belle Island. With ample space for up to ten guests, it’s the perfect private island for a fabulous family retreat.
The island is blessed by fabulous views of the St Lawrence Seaway from almost every room. The spacious terrace, in particular, is a popular spot to unwind with a glass of wine and watch the boats sail by, whereas the magnificent master suite looks out on to Boldt Castle – one of the 1000 Islands’ most memorable attractions.
As well as promising spectacular views, the master suite also offers much in the way of luxury, including a decadent bed with a built-inmassage unit. If you can bear to tear yourself away from the comfort of your king-sized bed, you’ll find the luxury continues elsewhere, not least in the solarium – a sun-soaked seating area with its own incredible hot-tub.
The other wing of the house offers four additional bedrooms as well as two full bathrooms. There is one room with a king sized bed, one with a queen and two at the end of the hall each with two twin beds. All bed and bath linens are provided, as is satellite TV, wireless internet and an array of utilities – meaning you won’t have to go without any of your home comforts during your stay here.
Dining
Belle Island boasts an incredible kitchen which wouldn’t look out of place in Ideal Home magazine. Fully-equipped with double ovens, stove top, dishwasher, refrigerator/freezer and microwave and with all dishes and cookware already on hand, you’ll have no problem cooking up a storm. Alternatively, if you’d prefer for someone else to take care of all the hard work for you, catering is available for an additional fee. Contact a member of the Vladi Island Travel for further information.
Activities
With the attractions of Alexandria Bay and the 1000 Islands on your doorstep, there’s no risk of getting bored here. Take your pick between pleasure cruises through the unforgettable Millionaire’s Row, guided tours of historical Singer Castle, a round of golf at the nearby Alexandria Bay Municipal Golf Course and so much more. Alternatively, you can choose to simply recline with a good book or watch the world go by from the comfort of your island above.
Best Time to Travel
The summer months (May – September) are without a doubt the best time to get the most out of this all-American retreat. With average temperatures of around 20°C and occasional highs of 25°C, you’ll enjoy the perfect conditions to explore the island and its charming surroundings.
