Private Island in the Florida Keys
Located within the city limits of Marathon City in the popular Florida Keys region, Marathon Island is a beautiful 15-acre private island, covered in dense forestry and wetlands. Tucked between nearby Crawl Key and Grassy Key, Marathon Island is located only 80 feet to the south of Highway US1.
Connecting the island to the highway via a bridge or barge is a possibility, thanks to an easement signed the by the State of Florida, obligating it grant "free access" to the Overseas Highway/(US1) "to the property heirs and successors, forever."
The island is held under federal land patent as part of its title.
