Despite the name, Moskito Island is one of the most beautiful and unspoiled islands in the British Virgin Islands. Welcome to your very own private paradise: 125 acres of natural beauty and stunning paradise in the turquoise waters of the Caribbean.
Moskito Island is available on an exclusive island rental basis depending on the numbers of rooms for USD 25,000 per night plus an additional 2.5% service charge. Please note: a minimum stay of four days applies.
The island is designed to accommodate 22 guests, but slightly larger groups can also be accommodated for a supplementary fee. Please contact a member of the Vladi Island Travel team for more details and note that in-villa chef services, spa treatments and motorized watersports are not included within the rental price.
Moskito Island is located in the British Virgin Islands, close to Virgin Tortola and just less than a mile away from Branson’s original island retreat, Necker Island.
The Branson Estate on Moskito Island is available to book year-round and offers a total 11 bedrooms capable of accommodating 22 guests. During their stay, guests can take their pick of three exquisite villas, each with their own incredible infinity pool: Headland House (3 bedrooms, including one Master Suite), the Beach Villa (4 bedrooms including one Master Suite) and the Mangrove Villa (four bedrooms, including one Master Suite).
The three villas are complemented by a stunning Recreation Area located towards the east of the island, where guests can take advantage of a diverse range of activities and dining options all based around the island’s Beach House. Home to a simply breath-taking wraparound infinity pool, a hot tub, a swim-up bar and even a nearby tennis pavilion, it’s the perfect location to recline, relax and soak up the stunning scenery with friends and family.
Guests can choose from a sensational selection of inspirational and indulgent gastronomic creations, created with love by a dedicated team of talented chefs who are always on hand to cater for your culinary whims and fancies. All meals and drinks are included in the price.
Moskito Island is the perfect playground for dozens of activities on land or on the water of course. From kite surfing to star-gazing and sun-bathing to paddle-boarding – there’s something for everyone on Moskito Island. Animal lovers will be charmed by the island’s ring-tailed lemur colony, whereas party animals can enjoy a night to remember at the hands of the island’s in-house DJ. Meanwhile, the recreation area is home to an infinity pool of epic proportions, a fabulous hot-tub, table tennis, and a fully-equipped gym. Adventurers can either choose to explore the island by foot or by bicycle and can take to the seas with a range of watersports activities which include kite-surfing, kayaking, paddle-boarding, windsurfing, sailing and snorkeling.
How to Get There
The closest international airport to Moskito Island is Virgin Tortola Airport (located on Beef Island). International travelers are advised to fly in to either San Juan or Antigua before making a transfer to Virgin Tortola (35 minutes and 1 hour 20 minutes respectively). From Virgin Tortola, it’s just a short journey to the island itself. Transfers from Virgin Tortola to Moskito Island are included within the price.
Best Time to Travel
There’s never a bad time to travel to the British Virgin Islands. The picturesque British overseas territory boasts excellent weather all year round, with sky-high temperatures and clear blue skies all but guaranteed. Popular times to travel include Christmas and New Year and March / April, when the BVI Spring Regatta and Sailing Festival swings into town.
