Experience the golden age of glamour

Amalfi Island, one of a cluster of islets facing Capri, has a history dating back to Tiberius and Roman times but more recently has attracted a different kind of owner. In the 1920s it was transformed by the famous architect Le Corbusier from a fortification to a private hideaway featuring a large terrace garden looking towards Capri and the dazzling Amalfi coast. The ballet dancer Rudolf Nureyev later became its proprietor and most of his furnishings remain intact. Today it is owned by an Italian hotelier and can accommodate up to 12 paying guests.

From EUR 220,000 per week exclusive for 12 guests. Staff, service, catering and a yacht for guests are included

Amalfi Coast, Italy.

Amalfi Island can accommodate a maximum of 12 guests in 6 bedrooms in the main house, decorated by Rudolf Nureyev as well as in the tower building.

Amalfi Island offers excellent menus. The rental includes an all-inclusive package of daily continental breakfast, lunch and dinner including wine and digestives. Most vegetables are grown on the island.

Activities & daytrips
Daytrips for serious shopping and sightseeing can be arranged to the picturesque villages of Capri, Positano and Amalfi on one of the two boats at your disposal: all included in the rental price. Other activities on the island are watersports: swimming in the crystal-clear, turquoise waters, a wave runner, canoeing, surfing. There is also a gym with an exercise bike, treadmill and body machine.

Best time to travel
Italy is at its best in spring (April-May) and autumn (October-November). During these seasons, there are relatively few crowds and you enjoy a comfortable climate.Peak season is of course the summer when most Italians take their vacations, thus many shops and businesses can be closed at that time.

Getting there
Transfers are from Naples Airport by minivan to Sorrento port, then to Amalfi Island by private motor yacht and return at the end of the stay: all included in the rental fee.
