You can find the Island Hideaway in the north of the Maldives at the 1.4 kilometre long, crescent-shaped island Dhonakulhi.

The Hideaway Palace
(Two, with a land area of 1,420 sq.m. per villa), represents the epitome of refinement, grandeur and privacy. Each palace, located next to a golden natural sandbank, comprises eight individual villas, erected on a timber deck, surrounded by a number of infinity swimming pools, giving the effect of a floating Palace! The private beach area is adjacent to the beautiful natural sandbank.

Spa Water Villa
(Two, with a land area of 235 sq.m. per villa), erected on wooden stilts in the shallow turquoise-blue lagoon, our two stand-alone villas, have their own exclusive ocean-view treatment room, sauna, steam room and a round outdoor bath tub on the deck overlooking the tranquil lagoon. A stay in these havens of peace and serenity will leave you refreshed, revitalized and rejuvenated.

Jasmine Garden Villa
(Five, with a land area of 705 sq.m. per villa), with its own exclusive 9.5 m by 4 m infinity swimming pool, a floating dining pavilion over the pool and a private terrace with an amazing view. The bedroom with a large walk-in closet and en suite bathroom has an exquisite 'two-person' hand-crafted bath.

Dhonakulhi Residence
(Twenty, with a land area of 550 sq.m. per villa), scattered along the white sandy beach-front, has an open living area with a timber deck and outdoor seating. The spacious bedroom with ist French windows overlooks its own Jacuzzi splash pool.

Rambaa Retreat Villa
(Seven, with a land area of 385 sq.m. per villa), the elegantly rustic villas, with their open floor level outdoor terraces and landscaped gardens offer the perfect seclusion for a peaceful retreat.

Funa Pavilion
(Seven, with a land area of 176 sq.m. per villa), characterised by its own garden, a separate sleeping and living area with teak flooring, open-air bathroom and wooden patio facing the beach

Best time to travel
While it is always hot and humid, the south-west monsoon period from May to November has the most rain and storms and the least sun. The other monsoon period is perhaps more friendly: the north-east monsoon or ruvai lasts from December to March, which are quite dry and slightly cooler months.

Getting there
The Island Hideaway is the only resort in the Haa Alifu Atoll, North Maldives. Guests are whisked to the Island Hideaway by a 45-minute scenic photo flight from the Malé International Airport to Hanimaadhoo Domestic Airport, followed by an exhilarating 20 minute speedboat ride to Dhonakulhi. Guests may also fly in on seaplanes or private jets or cruise their yachts direct to the Island's fully equipped world class Marina.
