And how better to wash-down a delicious meal than a visit to The Cellar or the Horizon Lounge – the perfect places to enjoy either a glass of wine or a cocktail creation whilst watching the sun go down over the Indian Ocean.

Take to the waves with a range of motorized and non-motorized watersport options. Choose from kayaking, windsurfing, stand-up paddling, catamaran sailing, jet-skiing, wakeboarding, mono-skiing, knee-boarding or water-skiing or explore the Indian Ocean with the help of JA Manafaru’s 5-star PADI diving centre. Superb scuba diving and snorkeling conditions offer the chance to explore the Indian Ocean, providing challengers for both absolute beginners and experts alike. And if all that aquatic action leaves you feeling worn out, a series of sensual spa retreats await your return at the Calm Spa & Salon and the Mind and Body Movement Pavilion.

How to Get There
Despite its secluded location towards the north of the Maldivian Republic, JA Manafaru couldn’t be easier to access, with international travelers offered the option of either an air transfer directly from Malé International Airport or a short watercraft journey from the closer Hanimaadhoo Domestic Airport.

Best Time to Travel
The dry season, which stretches from December to April, promises extra sunshine hours, less humidity and fewer tropical showers. Whilst temperatures still soar between May and November, there is increased cloud-coverage which brings with it humid and wet conditions.  For those keen to explore the oceans, the transition months of November and April are perhaps the best time to travel, and are associated with increased water clarity and better visibility for divers.
