Treasure Island is located near the headwaters of Lake Manitou in Northern Indiana and comprises an acre and a quarter of park-like beauty. This is the third largest natural lake in Indiana, and offers a wonderful setting for water sports, fishing (bass, pike), and enjoying nature.

You will enjoy total privacy, still having the convenience of being just minutes from your own property on the mainland where your pier and car await. Situated halfway between Notre Dame and Purdue Universities, and an easy hop by private plane from Chicago or Indianapolis, you can enjoy the beauty of nature without the isolation. The turn of the century cottage with redwood siding painted antique blue was fully restored in 1985 and is all electric (powered from shore – 200 amp). Three sides of the home are fully windowed for a view of a true wonderland. The home is presently configured at one bedroom, 2 baths, there is also a bedroom suite with full bath below the main floor as well as a bedroom on the top floor.

Alice's deck has been engineered to take another home. The foundation is in place and to code and presently the top is decked. Traditional knotty pine panelling, wonderful wood joinery and stone fireplace are features of the main room. Perimeter rooms enjoy the incredible lake views.  There is now a new roof on the home and the point deck has been rebuilt.

Treasure Island is offered as the perfect gathering place for fun on the water -including approximately one hundred fifty feet of pier structures. The island is beautifully lit for enjoying the warm Midwestern summer nights. The steady breeze and distance from the shore make mosquitoes a rare nuisance. The seawall surrounding the habited part of the island makes a broad perimeter walk, punctuated by period lanterns. The internal walkways are lined with pin lights so you may retain your night vision to enjoy the wildlife and fireflies. You can fish at midnight off the 12' x 12' swim deck which floats off the point (where once there was a wedding for eighty guests). Alice's deck, through the gate in the fence, is a raised platform for viewing the "wild" half of the island. Protected and recognized as a wetlands area by the state of Indiana, you can view ducks, Canada geese, beaver, raccoons, possums, muskrats, squirrels, heron, catbirds, cardinals, robins, kingfishers, bittern, mute swan, and once, a sand hill crane came calling. The perfect blend of nature and water fun.
